Sugar cookies

I really love these sugar cookies. They are delicious and can be made for any occasion. You can color the dough and finish off the cookies with royal icing or buttercream.

The ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup butter
1 egg
1 cup sugar
3 tbls heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

How to make:

In a bowl combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
In an other bowl cream the butter with the sugar.
Add the egg, the vanilla, the almond extract and the heavy cream and mix until combined.
Little by little add the flour-mix, keep mixing until you get a dough.
The dough should be soft and sticky

Divide the dough in two halfs and wrap both halfs in plastic film.
Set in the fridge for 1-2 hours or overnight.

Now preheat your oven to 400F and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Knead the dough again so it's soft to work with.
Prepare your couter with flour and roll out the dough.
Cut the desired shape with a knife or cookie cutters. Place on the baking tray about an inch apart.
Bake 10-15 minutes, or until you get the desired color.

Enjoy!
