Italian Tiramisu

I once sworn i would never make tiramisu again! The first time i made tiramisu i used a different recipe and when i first made it it was a succes. All the other five times i tried it after that it always failed. I didn't know what i did wrong, so i sworn i would never make it again. One year later i found this recipe and i love it. It's kinda like a no-fail/idiot proof recipe.

What you'll need
The dish that i use is 8.27 inches x 6.3 inches and i got 3 layers

3/4 cup granulated sugar
5 egg yolks
16 oz mascarpone cheese
36 lady fingers
cocoa powder or grated chocolate
coffee
liqour (optional)

Procedure

Get a pot on the stove with some water. when it starts to boil lower the heat. Put another bowl on the pot, make sure it doesn touch the water, we just want the steam. In the bowl add the egg yolks and the sugar. Whisk until combined and stir until the mixture is hot to touch. Keep stirring for 5 minutes. This way the eggs are cooked and there is no danger anymore. You'll end up with a thicker/creamy mixture.

Now set the bowl, only the bowl, aside to let it cool.
Make the coffee (add liqour if wanted) and set aside.
When it's completely cool whisk in the mascarpone.

Dip the lady fingers in the coffee and place in your dish.
Continue until you covered the bottom of the dish.
Now spread on some of the mascarpone mixture.
Add another layer of lady fingers

Continue the layers until your dish is full.
Make sure you end up with mascarpone on the top.
Now sprinkel with cocoa powder or grated chocolate.
Refrigerate for a couple of hours before eating.

After a couple of hours in the fridge
The next day

Enjoy!
